Rescue Me!

Blue Knob Ski Patrol members never rest! The weekend of September 19th was sunny and warm….and without any snow!!:)  Still, Blue Knob Ski Patrol members were on the mountain, conducting special rescue training The group practiced accident extraction via a special basket to immobilize injured skiers in case of an emergency.

They also took on the dangerous task of helping remove stranded skiers from lift chairs in the event of a power loss or other incident requiring the rescue operation.

It’s a good feeling to know these dedicated folks will be there for us in any situation that requires their assistance during the ski season!
