Blue Knob All Seasons Resort is on the second highest mountain in Pennsylvania. Located in South-central part of the state between Altoona and Johnstown, Blue Knob is just a couple of hours from Washington, Baltimore, Pittsburgh and Harrisburg. The resort offers a casual atmosphere, scenic views and many activities to interest everyone of every age. In the winter, guests are attracted to the challenge of the slopes, which the resort was built around. Activities include skiing, snowboarding, a tubing park, and cross country skiing. In the warmer months, golfing, hiking and trail biking are big attractions. There are tennis courts and swimming pools and after the days activities, you can relax in the Jacuzzis or have a few cocktails and dinner at the Clubhouse. Located at the resort is a Conference Center, that can accommodate 300 people for weddings or class reunions, and an Outdoor Pavilion is available for family gatherings or an after golf barbeque. In the area surrounding Blue Knob there are shopping malls, antique shops, state parks, state game lands, fishing streams and lakes, many historical sites and a colonial village. Throughout the year there are many festivals and events such as Thunder in the Valley,the Tour de’toona and Bedford County’s Fall Foliage Festival. |
